Hello there! I'm Marijoy Horton, your friendly neighborhood Ambassador in Austin, Texas! My incredible husband, Ben, is my supporter and partner in dreaming. We have two young children we homeschool. I get to teach the Women's Bible Study at our church. I love creating, traveling, and taking the road less traveled.
Why Noonday...
The growing number of slaves around the world (estimated between 27 and 47 million) shakes me. Shakes me out of my comfortable, bountiful, and self-focused life. I don't want to just share awareness of the needs of the oppressed, I want to get out there and do something. That's why I became an Ambassador.
Every day I experience abundant freedom and want the women Noonday partners with, and their families to experience it, too! Galatians 5:13 has become a mantra for me, "For you have been called to live in freedom.... But don't use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love." The Founder of Noonday took up the cause of the orphan, and now you and I get to be advocates as well by purchasing beautiful accessories! Supporting commerce in these communities is a proven way to directly impact marginalized women, discourage trafficking, and promote healthy living and education standards. Isn't that exciting?
